Entry #1 Do not Believe Everything you Read

Everyone has heard of the internet before and knows that it comes with several fascinating features and aspects. You can interact with people around the world in thousands of different ways and blogs just happen to be one of those ways. Blogs are websites where people can express their opinions in creative ways so that the world can see them. There is several different types of blogs such as professional and personal. They both have their good and bad benefits but since everyone judges things in their own creative and fascinating ways you never know what will intrigue them. I am not one who can professionally judge anything based on the fact that I have no expertise, I can only tell you what I personally find intriguing or not.

I have recently figured out that I have an obsession with blogs to a point that it is almost humorous. Reading blogs in my spare time has sort of become my favorite past time. They are interesting and intriguing in so many ways, I can never get enough of them. My opinion of blogs may be rare among my generation but I find blogs practical and useful. I believe that they are beneficial to most readers but a huge set back of blogs is that they are not always reviewed by others which can make them more biased then other resources. In my opinion blogs can be helpful but I would not pick them as my first choice due to the lack of expertise that comes with most blogs. Even though most would argue with my opinions because it sounds like I am biased myself but in all honesty the truth behind reviewing blogs itself is biased. I tend to like blogs that are most based on knowledge and efficiently use all possibilities to their full advantages and I can definitely prove this theory through my knowledge.

Google has a well-known reputation for being a source of information and their blog is no exception, it is full of juicy tidbits that reach the personalities of all its readers. The simplicity of Google’s blog is stunning and is to comprehend. Its positive benefits are that the bloggers use relatable terminology and pictures to full efficiency. A neutral aspect of the blog is that it has a less colorful background which makes you realize that they want you focused on the information not the blog itself. The graphs and videos that are strategically placed throughout the blog make it more appealing and easier to stay focused on the data. Overall, in my personal opinion Google does a fantastic job maintaining their blogs with several beneficial aspects involved thoroughly through the whole project.

Along with Google, another blog that I have found appeasing to look at is EconBrowser. A big plus in my book is that one of the first things you see when you launch the website is the credentials of the authors. It gives the website a little more creditability to its readers. You can first see the information in the colorful side bars, which I feel gives the website a little bit of a homely feeling. The titles of the entries makes it very clear that this blog is a professional blog which is easy to understand based on the authors. That makes it a little easier to understand what the authors purpose for writing the blog is. As you read through the beginning page of the website you can see that it is split up into little tidbits of what the full entries are which I believe makes it a lot easier to navigate this page. The writing in this blog is sometimes hard to understand but they make up for it with graphs and charts, which makes it easier to comprehend for us as readers. Overall, this website does a great job being user friendly and an easy read.

Unfortunately, with all good things there comes the bad. Not every single blog you look at is going to be perfect because no one out there is perfect. This next blog just left me a little confused and baffled at the end of it. It is a blog that goes by the name of Videogum and it is supposed to be a place that reviews movies, viral videos, and television shows. One thing that I did actually love about this website was the colorful background and surroundings, it gives it that special touch that makes you want to read it. Even with the colors and shocking features there to grab your attention, the information seems to bounce from topic to topic. It says it will report on movies, viral videos, and television. Which makes you believe it will be about shows or movies but it is mostly about the actors or actresses. Overall, this page was very appeasing to look at but the writing I believe could be pulled a little more together.

There is several different types of blogs out there and this is clearly evident. No matter what everyone believes, not everything on the internet is one hundred percent perfect. We need to realize that so that we are not played or tricked by incorrect writers out there. Checking your knowledge against other sources always seems to be the best road to follow. Another huge thing to keep in mind is that everything is judged through the reader’s perspective and you can never know how they will react to anything you have written. Your writing can be perceived as both good and bad. With writing on the internet, just remember the world can see your work and make sure you are ready to accept any consequences that come with that because you never know who is looking.
